Pink Dandelion

This card was a WIP for 2 days due to a missing desk!... lol.  My workdesk was on loan from a friend who is now moving to a bigger house, and so with 12 hours notice my stuff was cleared and I was left to craft on the floor...... hmmmm.

My wonderful husband (who is superman in my eyes) toodled off to the attics and barn and came back with a wardrobe door, some scraps of wood and a sander and was MIA for 4 hours.  Then TA DA!!! - I now have a smashing new workdesk which is ace! :D  I am totally thrilled with it as its lower and wider, so I can now spread oot! ;)

Anyway, back to the card.  I made this for the Lili of the Valley challenge this week following another fab sketch by Bev.  I used Dandelion stamp and some really old DP I found in stash.  (I found a few of these cracking papers and it would appear they are by Scrapbour(?).  I used Marianne dies, an MS punch and a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Cream and pink roses from WOC.

I will be entering this card in the following competitions:

Wild Orchid Crafts - Anything Goes - 3rd entry
Dream Valley Challenges - Anything Goes - 2nd entry
Lets Ink It Up - Embossing
Ooh La La Creations - Pink, Pink and more Pink
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes + DP is old!
Passion for Promarkers - Sugar Rush - 2nd entry
Make It Colourful - Create shine

....... and I googled 'Dandelion' and its known as 'the jilted flower of spring' - awww bless, so I think it also qualifies for the below competitions:

The Crazy Challenge - Here Comes Spring
Cooking it up with Katie - Spring, yellow flowers (dandelions) :)

Thanks so much for looking - have a fabulous weekend, and good luck to everyone in these challenges.

Hi Alison, how clever is your husband?! If my husband found an old wardrobe door it would still look like an old wardrobe door, lol!Beautiful card again today - I love the die cut flowers with the roses at the centre! xx

Removed my last comment as full of spelling mistakes - not good for a teacher, lol!

Brilliant work with the pink & white on those embellishments beautifully woftened with the yellow. The effect of the white contrast on the swirl & the flower bases is super & then the eye being drawn over towards the right with the pink accenting the white background - very classy.
Glad you've got a desk - impressive husband, worth his weight in gold it sounds like.
Much love
Paula (PEP)
