CAS at Sweet Stampin' - EEK!!



Yay!!.....Happy Weekend! :)

Now our new challenge over at Sweet Stampin today is CAS!!... A genre I particularly excel at - NOT! :D lol!  We are sponsored this week by Stamp Addicts Shop who are giving a brilliant prize to the winner, and I hope we see lots of fabby entries as I could do with the inspiration :)

I admit to being in a panic over this CAS malarky, as to me, its not about how to start, its about when to stop.   I cant resist just adding stuff and whooshing around with dies, flowers, bling and what-not.  Anyway, I have had this old wooden rubber stamp for years and it was the first time I had used it.  That in itself proved quite a trial and a real challenge to finish up with an image I was happy with.  It took me about 12 attempts using various ink pads and colours, but the Versafine Black Ink pad proved champion and it literally  knocked spots off the others when it came to fine detail.

Not much else to say about this card, as it was quite simple. I will try to resist finishing it later! LOL.

    Saw the title & had to double check I was on the right blog, glimsped the sentiment & just grinned, read the post & thought - Memories Dye Inkpad in Black (see http://pepcraftchallexp.blogspot.com/2011/07/mcc-colouring-101-wk-1-groundwork.html); heard the rice crackling in the kitchen, turned the hotplate off; had a swig of tea & then got back to the business of looking at your card.

    Very eek - before I know it I've added a layer & then another & then it NEEDS something else & before you know it it isn't CAS. Not an easy stamp that but I love your framing & the classiness of the design - has to be destined for someone with a sense of humour. Have a brilliant day - you gave me a good start to the weekend.

    Hi Alison, it's a fab card! Love the image (and I always go for Versafine when I use detailed stamps, never found another to top it) and the sentiment is brilliant.

    Wonderful embossing as well and a great embossing.
