White on White

Good Morning, and happy weekend! :)

So, last weekend I had a fancy to make something WoW, as I have been wanting to have a good play with some Centura Pearl card I bought recently - it has a really lovely shimmer.  It also gave me a great excuse to just go mad on lots of embossing, die-cutting and layering.

This is an 8 x 8 inch card - so quite massive, and I used another of the Joanna Sheen vintage toppers I found in my stash.  The embossing folders are Creative Expressions and the dies are Spellbinders, Marianne and Doo Hickey.  The really pretty intricate lace die is Cheery Lynn - my first one, and I love it! :) Flowers are WOC.

I am entering this card in the following competitions:

Wild Orchid Crafts - White + 1
Cheery Lynn Designs - 17 - Lots of Layers
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for looking at my blog and I hope everyone has a smashing day :)

Beautifully Victorian with all the fussy layers & texture. I love the way you picked out the pink & that polka dot shimmery sheer ribbon is perfect with the pins. I love the hint of pink on the inward oval lacey parts of your square matting - a delightful touch of inking. Your lacey texture really accents the lace of the dresses in the topper.
Have a lovely weekend - God's watering our garden here.

What a beautiful card! Love those layers and the subtle use of pink, especially in the vintage image. The Cheery Lynn dies are great, aren't they? I've only got a couple 'cos they're a bit pricey but I love their doily dies. Have you tried Memory Box dies? Love, love, love them - they cut cleanly first time and no need for a shim in my Grand Calibur. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Tracey xx

Another gorgeous card Alison. Love all the pretty delicate layers with the hint of pink. Have had my eye on some of those cheery Lynn dies, but have the hobby craft show the end of the month so am making a shopping list and trying not to spend my pennies until then :) xx

Beautiful Alison, really beautiful.

Love all the layers and detailing and those flowers are just gorgeous!

PS - I knew there'd be a story behind the doggy's name! One of our cats is called Oscar - he's a little bit of a terror and rather wild. All I could think of when I was trying to give him a name was Oscar Wilde!!! Not appropriate I know, but he's wild - so he's Oscar!

Hope you have a good week!
