Ooops!!

Morning :)  Happy Weekend!

Well I always say if you are going to 'bob it up' then do it with style!!!...  Spot the ever-so obvious and not so deliberate mistake on this card - LOL :D  No prizes for guessing, but I am not giving any clues.  Answers in the comments box please! lol.

So our new challenge over at Sweet Stampin this week is 'Faeries &/or Angels' and we are sponsored by the fabulous Emerald Faeries - I LOVE these digis! :)  and also one of our regular sponsors the brilliant and ever generous  Joanna Sheen.

I hand-stitched MME Indie Chic Saffron papers, used MS PATP, Spellbinders and Marianne Dies, and the flowers are WOC.  This card was a little bit 'lastminute.com' (having rejected 2 earlier attempts) and so in my haste I made an upside down card! :D lol.  ....or the mischievous little Isla did it! ;)

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Wild Orchid Challenge - Anything Goes
Mariannes Design Divas - Spread your wings
Paper Sundaes - Things with wings

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I hope everyone has a smashing weekend!

  1. Well your card looks great to me Alison, and if there is an oopsi-daisy amongst that lovely creation it certainly does not show. It is just a lovely lovely card, as always! Happy Weekend, Judy x

  2. Well I can see a glaring problem with it immediately. It is just too darn cute. I love those amazing flowers (am off to Wild Orchid today as I'm running out of stash and need to stock up for a little wedding table plan order I've got this week). Of course I love the pink too (my fave). Adorable card honey.

  8. This is absolutely gorgeous Alison! Can't see any mistakes, could it be something with the card base and the card opening perhaps as it isn't so obvious? Love the card anyhow!

  13. ooooh - I did one of those with my waterfall but it was so obvious......... at least you did it in style! Terrific fun with this little imp.......think she's been visiting me lately as I keep having to prise my creations apart & redo! I love those soft wings you gave her & I keep looking at those dandelion die-cut thingies..........I do like that double scallop matting & the way the square scalloped border picks up on the dandelion bits!
I'll plead being a "foreigner" as an excuse for the inept language.

  17. Gorgeous card Alison, even with the little error, you can always cut it down and make it into another card the right way round hehe.

  18. Another stunner! I love your coloring of that sweetie, the papers, flowers and gorgeous die cuts! If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have thought anything was wrong. Um, could it be that the opening of your card is upside down? the fold is supposed to be up top?

  19. If you hadn't said I would never have noticed! It's only the scalloped edge that gives it away!
Gorgeous card, I love the colours and those dies are to die for!!
    Have a good weekend.

  24. Fabulous card Alison - just love it - so pretty and cute. And yes - I have done several upside down before now, but when it is a scalloped card it is not so easy to get away with it.

  34. LOL - I am hopeless at those spot the difference puzzles!! I couldn't see anything wrong until somebody suggested it's upside down.
Shh... don't tell.. but a couple of years ago I had really bad flu and forgot to get a 21st Card for a friend's daughter. So I whipped one up with a temperature of 102 - really struggled - but was really proud of it - boy did it look good - until I tried to open it!!! ROFL I cried like a baby. All I could do was cut the front off and stick it on a new Card Blank!!!
Anyway, your card is Gorgeous Alison. Love the fairy and the sparkly wings and fab tights. The embellies and die cuts are absolutely stunning!!
Hope you had a good weekend hun!
