Good Luck!

For Stella

Hi and Good Morning Everyone :) Happy Wednesday!.

My card today again mixes old and new dies from Cheery Lynn, and I really had a blast making this sweet card.  I started off with a 6 x 6 inch blank card base, and layered flowersoft papers onto lilac and white bazzill card, and then set about playing with my dies.

I created the bottom lace border using a strip of white card cut with the City Girl Edger, and added lilac ribbon and a tiny border from the Expandable Tiny Borders die.  I tucked the Grass border just above it, and this runs behind the image panel.

I used my favourite Sunflower Doily (Although I do love them all lol) and layered circle and scalloped circle stackers in the centre with my main image, adding tiny flowers around the edge.

I created the floral spray using the Daisy Strip, Darling Daisies and Olive Branches and added a butterfly and tag.  I made flowersoft lavender sprigs, and finished off with  a bow, pin and pearl heart .

All dies used on this card are:

A196 - Darling Daisies - also Tiny Green leaves on doily
B188 - Embellishment #2 - Tiny Flowers round doily

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, and dont forget our challenge this week over at Cheery Lynn Designs is Embossing, so I hope you find time to join in.

Have a smashing week!

Cheery Lynn - Lots of Layers

Hi and Good Morning :)

Todays card was inspired by this weeks theme over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge blog of 'Lots of Layers', and as always the lucky winner will recieve a $20 voucher to spend online at the Cheery Lynn Store.

This is something a little different from me as it is quick and relatively simple but a Time-Bandit stole my weekend! lol :)

My card base was 6 x 6 inches and I layered K&Co paper onto white american crafts cardstock, and all dies were cut from both this card and paper.  I added some lacey borders using the Anastasia Border, and a couple of mini flourish die cuts too.  I matted my image onto some oval and scalloped oval stackers and made the gorgeous frame using the Polynesian Sails die.

I added a couple of flowers with some bling for a finishing touch.

All dies used on this card are:

B136 - Anastasia Border
DL153 - Polynesian Sails Frame
DL153A - Polynesian Sails Angel Wing
B291 - Mini Fanciful Flourish
D137 - Sweet Williams
B307 - Sweet Williams Strip
XM -8 - Scalloped Oval Stackers
M - 7 - Oval Classic Stackers

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, and I hope you get time to visit the rest of the DT's gorgeous work over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration blog, and also join in the challenge too.

Have a smashing week,

Music & Lyrics - Joanna Sheen

Back again with todays card for our new challenge over at Joanna Sheen, where this time our theme is 'Music & Lyrics'.  As always the lucky winner will win a fabulous voucher to spend in the Joanna Sheen online store.

I was sent this adorable set of decoupage called 'Fun & Games', and these are a great size for a quick and easy 6 x 6 card!  I just layered MME paper on some freshwater pearl card, and layered the decoupage with silicone glue.  I added dies by Marianne and Cheery Lynn, and some flowers to finish.  A very quick and simple card :)

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, and I will endeavour to catch up over the next couple of days.

GDT @ Die for a Sketch

Morning :) A surprise post from me today, which I ahem, almost forgot about ! lol :)

I was thrilled and very honoured recently to be asked by the ladies at Die 4 A Sketch Challenge to be a GDT for their first anniversary.

To celebrate this fabulous achievement, they are having a fun challenge with loads of great prizes!

Sponsors include:  The  Ribbon Girl, Cards und More, Kathryne Stamp Art Design, Cards Etc Shop, and MilkCoffee Designs, so well worth joining in, and of course there is a fun sketch to follow too.

For my card, I used 300gsm ice pearl card, and embossed the background.  I then used my favourite Marianne layered die, and the gorgeous butterfly is by Cheery Lynn.  Behind the wings I tucked some fantasy film, and its much nicer in real life :)

Please checkout the challenge and the rest of the DT's work, and thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

Cheery Lynn Designs - Mermaid and Seahorses

Hi and Good Morning :)  I hope everyone is having a fab week so far!

For my card today I wanted to show the versatility and diversity of Cheery Lynn Dies, taking the Seahorse Family as my inspiration and mixing them with some new release dies and older dies too.

I started off with a 6 x 6 inch blank kraft card base, and layered up MME paper and DCWV aqua card.  I ripped the second sheet of paper to reveal the Tolkien quote underneath, and then set about adding some really cool dies.

I used the gauze border die to create a fish-net border, and inked the edges with Walnut DI.  I added 2 Tropical flourishes and also 2 mini fanciful flourish dies before layering my sea-horses, coral and picture.  I made the flower using the Chrysanthemum Strip (I love these floral strips) and a mini flower from the BAF embellishment set.

Now, in Alisons' world, seahorses would come in fantasy pinks, blues or green, but I have been reliably informed that they actually come in yellowy brown! lol ;)  The image is from Crafts and Me, and was coloured in PM's, and I had one of those awkward moments, when my aqua flex marker ran out before I could finish colouring the background - so bah and tut to that!!!   Glitter, also continues to be my nemessis! :(

I added finishing touches with charms, pearls, brads, starfish and twine, and 'Robbie' the wee crayfish was created by me just from scrap card!  Not my best effort, but quite fun.

All dies used on this card are:

B181A - Embellishment #1 - Mini Flower

I am entering this card in the following competitions:

Crafts & Me - Flowers
Passion for Promarkers - To Die For

Thanks so much for visiting mu blog today, and dont forget we have a fab challenge this week over at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge, where our theme is 'Bling it Up', and the lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher to spend in the Cheery Lynn Store.

Thats all from me today, have a smashing week!
