Cheery Lynn Designs - Anything Goes

Good Morning :)

My card today is for our new challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs, where we have a fabby theme of 'Anything Goes'!  Brilliant :)  As always the winner will receive a wonderful prize of a $20 voucher to spend online in the Cheery Lynn Store, so well worth joining in if you can.

Now this week I wanted to have a really good play with some more of the New Release dies.  There is such a variety of styles and themes, but I wanted to show how they all work so well together too!

I used a 6 x 6 inch scalloped card base and stitched Prima papers to white American Crafts cardstock.  I used this cardstock for all the dies cut on this project and it cuts beautifully :)

I cut the gorgeous Bird Cage, and the Cherry Blossom flowers, twigs and Babys Breath from the Build a Flower Embellishment #2 set and arranged them in the top right corner.  The Lace Hummingbird Flourish was layered onto stacker circles, and then also embellished with Mini Butterflies and cherry blossom.

The border was created using another of my favourite Celtic Band borders and decorated with more cherry blossom flowers.  I finally added pearls and glamour dust/snow glitter with a glue pen to give shimmery highlights.

All dies used on this card are:

This was quite a quick card for me and the dies take all the credit for making it look so delicate and pretty :).

I hope we see lots of entries again this week, as its Anything Goes you can just let your imagination and creativity roam free.  You have until Sunday to join in and dont forget there is also daily inspiration from the rest of the talented DT over on our Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration Blog.

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Deep Ocean Challenge - Things with Wings
Dies to Die For Challenge - Anything Goes

I hope everyone has a smashing week and thanks so much for visiting today.

Good Morning :)  Back again today with my last DT card for Charisma Cardz - boo hoo :(

Anyway, our new theme this week is 'Lovely Lace' and we are sponsored by the generous Joanna Sheen and the brilliant Meljens Designs - fabulous prizes!

I fancied a change from a square card, so dug out one of my old rectangle cards in 7 x 5 - it felt huge! lol :)  I stitched Anna Griffin papers onto bazzil kraft coloured cardstock and layered up more Anna Griffin embellies - the scroll die cuts and the holly leaves.   I also had a good rummage through some of my older stamps too and found some flourishy leaves which I stamped round Tilda in brushed corduroy DI.  I used a mixture of Cheery Lynn, Spellbinder and Doo Hickey dies, flowers from WOC, string from Joanna Sheen and cheesecloth from Amazon.

The gorgeous lace was a wonderful gift from my fabulous blogging buddy Judy, thanks so much hun! :)

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Cheery Lynn Designs - Doilies

Good Morning :)

My card today is for our new challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs and this week we want to see Doilies on your creations.  There is a fantastic $20 coupon for the winner to spend in the Cheery Lynn online store, so well worth playing along.

I used a stunning doily die from our New Releases called Notre Dame Cathedral .  I knew when I saw this doily that it would be perfect for fantasy images and oh wow does it cut crisply - its fabulous!

I stitched Prima papers to American Crafts white textured cardstock before layering and sticking to a 6 x 6 card base.  I also used the same textured card for the rest of die cuts and it worked beautifully.  After adding the doily, I criss-crossed the centre weave of the stunning celtic chain border - (officially my new favourite border!), and added some leaves to the corner.

I then created the carnation using the Build a Flower #2 carnation petals and leaves.  I cut approximately 16 petals, inked the edges and then just  scrunched and layered them adding the leaves lastly and securing with a white brad.  You can create endless types of flowers with these dies and they have such impact.  I stamped my greeting on one of the Sentiment Frames and for the finishing touches I added some beautiful Mini Dimensional Butterflies and white pearls

All dies used on this card are:

Joanna Sheen - Totally Sentimental

Good Morning fellow bloggers - what a glorious warm and sunny day here yesterday, I hope it was lovely where you were too :)

My card today is for our new challenge at Joanna Sheen where this time our theme is 'Totally Sentimental'.  We would love to see your creations with a sentiment as a focal point.  Now I often forget to add a sentiment at all to my cards, so it was good for me to concentrate on just that! lol :)  As always there is a fab £15 Joanna Sheen voucher for the winner to spend online.

I used this gorgeous rubber stamp set called Take One Step and stamped and embossed on vellum the sentiment, the lace border and the really beautiful lacey heart.

Now most of you know I am a keen hand-stitcher, and mostly because I am quite terrified of sewing machines!  - (They dont like me much either lol).  Anyway, I was needing to speed the process up a little last week, so I dug out a little mini sewing machine I won (about the size of a teapot and worth about £20 LOL!) and decided to conquer my demons.

So........................ this is my first attempt at machine stitching on my cards - Ta Da!! :) Simples! LOL

I used Bazzil cardstock, Prima Fairy Belle papers, blue and brown vellum from stash and white embossing powder.  The dies are a mixture of Doo Hickey and Marianne and the large flowers are WOC.

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Stampalot - Take Flight
Creative Craft Challenges 2 - Just a sentiment
Totally Gorjuss - Strings the thing
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today and I hope everyone has a cracking Sunday!

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Add a Letter

Good Morning - Its such an exciting day today!!! We are showcasing some stunning new release dies on our Cheery Lynn Inspiration Blog so pop over and take a look at all the fabulous creations made by the DT!

This is a such a fun new release, packed with lots of different themes so I hope you find time to check them out, and I also hope you find time to enter our challenge this week too which is 'ABC' or 'Add a Letter'.

My card uses 3 of the new release dies: Spooky Tree, Ornamental Gate and just one of the gorgeous labels from the Sentiment Frames set.

I used a 6 x 6 card base and layered black bazzil cardstock, scrummy Prima Papers and the spiders web corner from the Lace Corner Deco H set for my background.

I then joined together 2 of the Ornamental Gate dies (to make a fence) and placed the Spooky Tree on top.

The fun letters were made from the LSLC alpabet set and I handwrote the 'To You' with a versamark pen and heat-embossed with white powder on the Mini Sentiment Label.  The moon was actually made from an insert from another of the really versatile mini-tags & labels.

I paper-pieced Tildas dress and shoes, and added dotty ribbon and googly eyes from stash.

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

I ♥ Promarkers - Gardens

This was a great excuse to get out my PB's and use this adorable Hedgie image which I coloured with Pro-markers.  I hand-stitched K&Co papers (from my scraps box) onto white bazzil card and punched a border with my favourite MS Doily punch.  I used a mix of Memory Box and Spellbinder dies on this, and a McGill punch for the white fronds.  The flowers are WOC and the sentiment is Pink Petticoat.

Cheery Lynn Designs - Shaped Card

Good Morning :)  I hope everyone has been making the most of the gorgeous summery weather!  Its been beautiful here!

This week the Cheery Lynn DT were given some gorgeous Imaginisce products to play with, and I fell in love with this beautiful blue 12 x 12 paper from the Making Waves Collection!  These are double sided papers, great quality and really wonderful to work with.

Our new theme this week on the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge is 'Shaped Cards', so no squares or rectangles allowed! :D lol.

I made my own 6 x 6 shaped card base using the largest size French Flair Scalloped Stackers.  I folded a 12 x 12 piece of ice white 300gsm Centura pearl cardstock in half, and placed the top part of the die just a little above the crease so it still held itself intact.  I then layered alternate sheets of paper and card from the:

French Flair Scalloped Stackers - the 3 largest sizes
French Flair Silver Stackers - the 3 largest sizes
French Flair Doily Stacker - the 2 largest sizes (I love these doily dies!)

I then added a couple of mini flourishes and an exotic butterfly, centred my image on Scalloped Circle Stackers and Classic Circle Stackers and cut 3 starfish shapes from the leaves part of the Large Rose & Medium Rose dies!

I coloured my image with PM's, chalked the cloudy background and added ribbon, charm and pins from stash.  The sentiments are Pink Petticoat.  This was a totally new shape of card for me, and I have to say I was really pleased with the result and how well all the dies and layers just fitted together perfectly.

I hope you find time to join in this week, and dont forget if you leave a comment on the 'kickoff post' on the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration blog you are in with another chance of winning a $20 gift certificate to spend online.  There is also more fabulous inspiration on the Imaginisce blog and a further chance to win a great prize there too! :)

Good morning :)  My card today is for our new challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs this week where our theme is 'Hot in the Summer'.  One lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher to spend online and as there are so many fabby dies to choose from this is a brillo prize!

Now I admit to getting in a tizz with my card, and this was my second attempt.  I tend to naturally favour really cool colours or darker shades, and I have quite a stash of discarded bright papers that hurt my eyes! lol :D  (I save em for my nieces!)   However, luckily I had just bought this gorgeous Dovecraft Garden Party paper and it was perfect for this.

I layered my papers onto buttercream Bazzil cardstock and before sticking the layers down I tucked under the medium sized Doily Stacker Circle and the Lace Light Deco Border.  I added the Tropical Flourish and Small Butterfly to the side panel and made the tiny cute flowers from the Darling Daisies Die (I LOVE these wee daisies!)

All dies used on this card are:
