Hi and Good Morning :)

We have a great new challenge this week over at Cheery Lynn Designs of   'Black & Orange'. and as always the winner will receive a $20 coupon to spend online at the Cheery Lynn Store.

 

Now I was kind of nervy making this weeks project as Orange is SO out of my comfort zone, but once I got started it was nice to dip into some much neglected orange stash and I was really pleased with how this turned out. :)

 

I layered black bazzil cardstock, MME and Prima papers onto a 6 x 6 inch card base and then went to town on the dies.  Cheery Lynn have some awesome Halloween and seasonal dies and I used the Spider Web Doily, Spooky Tree, Going Batty, and Witch Hunt themed dies on this card.  I matted my image onto the gorgeous Horizon Coved Reflection die and shadowed it in black card behind.  I also used my favourite Lace Light Deco border die on this card as its so versatile!

Anything Goes @ I ♥ Promarkers

Hello and good morning :)

My card today is for our new challenge over at I ♥ Promarkers where this week we have a really easy theme of  'Anything Goes'.  We are sponsored by the fabulous Joanna Sheen who is generously offering the winner a £10 voucher to spend online. :) 

This weekend I had been playing about with some dies (again) and made the above shape with just a Cheery Lynn victorian corner die cut twice and layered on top of each other.  I thought that this gorgeous Sweet Pea image went really well with it and just coloured with PM's.

The border was made from a MS punch and another Cheery Lynn Lace die and the flowers are WOC. Quite quick and simple for me :)

Lace and Pearls - Charisma Cardz

Back again today :) Woo, steady, 2 days running! LOL.

So, this week on Charisma Cardz the theme was picked by me, and I chose 'Lace & Pearls'.  We are sponsored this week by Some Odd Girl and The Stampin Boutique .

I coloured a gorgeous Sweet Pea image (I bought a plate of 4 stunning facial images) and also splashed out this week and spent £2.20 on some white acrylic craft paint as I have been dying to try this shabby technique for a while.  I need to be a bit more heavy-handed and adventurous I think, but I will definately try again.  I hand-stitched and hand-beaded Prima Papers, and the pearl pin, metal corner and flowers are all WOC.

Autumn Colours - I ♥ Promarkers

Yay, Im back! :)  Hope everyone is having a great week, and the weather isnt too wet where you are. 

This weeks theme on I ♥ Promarkers is 'Autumn Colours', and over the last 2 weeks we have had rainbows, rain, wind, sun and even the first sight of snow on Ben More up here!  We are sponsored by Letraset for this weeks challenge, who are generously giving a fab pack of Promarkers as the prize, so its well worth joining in.

I used a gorgeous Sweet Pea image on this card and hand stitched and distressed Prima papers.  I used Spellbinder dies and McGill punch for the frondy leaves and the flowers are WOC.  The larger leaves are from quite old stash, as is the old necklace bead, and I also used an MS punch for the loop border.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Sparkly/Bling

Woo, its good to be back! :) lol.  What a week that was, first my electricity was off for 3 days, and then my internet was unhappy, and then Mr Blogger had a mardy! tut.

So,  this is my DT card for I ♥ Promarkers this week, where the new challenge is  'sparkly/bling'.  Now I love an excuse to get girly and add heaps of pretty embellies, so this was brilliant.  We are sponsored this week by the uber-generous Joanna Sheen, who's shop I visit regularly and really do buy all my promarkers from! :)  Shame I cant enter then! lol.

I used a gorgeous Sweet Pea image called 'Restless Thoughts' and she was just lovely colour.  I distressed, inked and hand stitched all the paper panels and made the centre flower from a Marianne Die, (also distressed and inked).  The other flowers are of course WOC, and I used a spellbinder die, MS punch and a branch leaf punch by McGill.  Its quite a bit more sparkly in RL too, but for some reason Sakura glitter pens just dont photograph :( tut.

Sweet Pea for my first DT card - One Stop Craft Challenge

Hope everyone is having a fabulous start to the weekend? :)

Now this is my first DT card for the One Stop Craft Challenge, (I'm so excited! - lol)

This week the theme is faeries or angels, (who doesnt love them!?) so I hope you feel like joining in.

I used a Sweet Pea image called 'In the Wind' and it was so lovely to work with.  I used MS punches (butterfly and border), nesties, stickles and a 12 x 12 piece of paper I never thought I would cut into! :) lol.

Flowers are Marianne dies, pearls from stash.

Forest Blue

Woop! Woop!... My internet is now restored, and though its not as fast as 99% of the UK @512kbps, its still good enough for me to upload pics and blog quite happily. 

So, todays card is using another Sweet Pea image called Forest Blue and it was so lovely to play with.  I followed Rach's sketch over on Friday Sketchers, and stuck to a theme of 'black, white + one colour' for the One-Stop Craft challenge.

I coloured with Promarkers (my new Ivory arrived quickly thanks to Joanna Sheen!) added highlights with glitter, and stitched beads with silver thread and added moon charms to the MS punch.  I distressed and chalked the edges of the DP.

I also hand-stitched and beaded all around the edge of the DP (close up above) and attached the main moon charm by silver thread and beads.

I'm not real sure about the DP, but I think the main sheet and the moon piece were from a Brenda Pinnick 12 x 12 pad which I have had for a long time.

Aloha

In a bit of dash this morning, but I really wanted to share this card that I made using a Sweet Pea stamp called Aloha.  I find these images irresistable to colour, and you can just drift away into your own world.  :)

Anyway, I followed the fab sketch by Bev over on Friday Sketchers and was really aiming for an underwater world feel to this card (without the water!) lol.  Its a lot more shimmery in real life, as all of her tail is accented with green glitter pen, and her hair sparkles with crystal star sakura.

I hand-stitched the backing panel with gold thread and used K&Co papers, promarkers, glitterpens, stickles and marianne flourish dies.  Sea shell charms, organza ribbon, fibres and irridescent flowers from stash.
