Autumn Breeze - Joanna Sheen Challenge

Good Morning & Happy Sunday  :)

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog and this fortnights theme is 'Autumn Breeze'.  The winner will as always receive a brilliant £20  voucher to spend online, so well worth joining in with your seasonal projects ! :)

I used this gorgeous Country Kitchen - Crab Apple stamp set and totally enjoyed doing something completely different for me.  I was aiming for a bit of a grungy look and thats my excuse for learning to paint with Distress Inks - lol.  I used MME papers, MS butterfly punch, and Spellbinders dies.

Now, I am quite an experienced and enthusiastic die-cutter, but I have to say that that wheat die is the most fiddly, time consuming die I have ever used.  It took me a good hour to finally get one piece out without tearing, but I wasnt going to let it beat me.  Most fiddly dies get better with use, but this one proper had me pulling my hair out and kicking off !

The embellies were found in my pot pourri bowl, so the card even smells nice too ! :)

Thanks so much for looking at my blog today and have a smashing Sunday

Well it looks fabulous. I'm sure after an hour it felt like it was well used, love the butterflies too. I've got some of those mini pegs and never know what to do with them. I like it on your country kitchen card rustic type card.

Smiling here Alison. I bought the set of 21 dies on C&C tried a couple of them, even used wax paper and still had problems with them, especially the wheat and gate so sent them back.
This card is GORGEOUS !!!!!!
Love the image and the rich colours you have used. Fabulous layout and your embellishments are PERFECT.

Absolutely STUNNING card Alison.
You have WAAAAAAY more patience than me . . . I'd have thrown the die out the window if it was THAT fiddly!

An intriguing combination & I'm surprised you have any hair left at all after tackling those wheat die-cuts.
The card looks good enough to eat - the shine on those apples.
