We have a fabby sketch to follow for this weeks theme over at I ♥ Promarkers. Now, I love following sketches, and this was really easy, with lots of room for adding details, design and embellishments. We are sponsored this week by one of our regular and generous sponsors Di's Digi Downloads, and the DT were given some adorable images to play with. I used Maisy on a stool, and she was just lovely to colour :)
Check out my Chain Stitch!! :D I always prick out my holes first before hand-stitching, using either a parchment grid (for very neat results) or a Tim Holtz ruler with piercing holes for a more relaxed look. I then hand stitched the two borders on the paper panel and it was surprisingly quick!
I used HOTP papers, Marianne doily die, MS punch, spellbinder leaves and I die cut the buttons and glazed them with glossy accents.
I am entering this card in the below competitions:
Stamp Something - Digi Day
2 Sisters Challenge - Colour Challenge
Dream Valley - Distressing - I distressed the paper edges before I stitched them
Thanks so much for looking at my blog today, and good luck to everyone in these challenges,

your handstitching is so beautiful, you must have the patience of a saint.
xx coops xx
I like the way the chain stitching is picked up by your punched borders - in turn echoed in the pattern of the paper. The rose embellishing echoes those in the floral patterned paper too & the whole is a lovely shabby chic creation rather reminding me of the what I call Victorian Vintage Rose imagery.
