One Stop Craft Challenge - Chocolate DT card

2nd Post of the Day

Today is a new challenge over at One Stop Craft, where the theme is 'Chocolate', and we are being generously sponsored this week by Stitchy Bear stamps.  Our DT have totally rocked this theme, and created some really gorgeous projects for inspiration. :)

Now, the sentiment........I dont have many hero's in life (apart from the divine Richard Armitage ;) and of course my dad :)! ), but if I had to name a 1-2-1 it would be Charles Dickens. Of all the people who ever lived and are living, Charlie Dickens is the ONE person I would choose to sit down and have a chat with. I cant put it more simple than that really.......

I am always interested in people's 1-2-1's, so if you feel like leaving a comment, I would love to read it. :)

I am dedicating this card to my good blogging buddy Bridget, who recently sent me a wonderful parcel of stash, which I couldnt wait to put to good use in this card.  I was so thrilled to receive post all the way from Nebraska!!!  :D Its the first time I had ever seen or used Stampin Up products and I have to say they are brilliant. Thank you Bridget :)

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Stamptacular Sunday - Magnolicious
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Layers
Stamp with Fun - Birthday
The Crazy Challenge - Friendship
Whoopsi Daisy - Free and Easy

Oh,Alison the colours on this are delicious and just perfect for the sentiment! I can't stop looking at it! Love your first card too. I think my 1-2-1 would have to be with Emmeline Pankhurst. I'd love to know what she'd think about the pressures we women are under today!! xx

I love the colours on this & your matching of the browns. Those Spellbinders dies will have to go on my list. As for my One to One - lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) - I would love to understand the Alice books & i have a huge respect for his integrity.
Hope you have a peaceful Easter.

How delightful and yummy is that, Alison! Love the color of your chocolate card- I might even guess you love black chocolate:) and the sentiment is simply perfect.
Who doesnt love Charles Dickens? Ond of my fave too. Well, I am a French treacher by profession but besides my bel;oved Hugo and Balzac, I have always enjoyed plunging in Dickens's depictions- my favorite was A Tale of two cities-that's when I started reading in English. Great book for improving your vocabulary...lol. Well, years have elapsed and I have certainly forgotten most of the English language:(
Love yuour card sweetie, thanks for reminding me of the great novelists , I surely have to read something tonight:)
Hugs, Iulia
