Forever Friends for Mothers Day

I have no idea where this week has gone!!.. it must be because we put the clocks forward or something! ;) lol.

So, something slightly different from me today, as I have been on a mission all week to seek out my Forever Friends stamps and have a play.

This is for 2 reasons;

1.  The Forever Friends challenge blog has a great challenge this week, and lots of candy to re-launch its new ownership.  I have been a follower of this blog for a while, as Forever Friends have quite a special place in my heart, and it would be great to see more people play along.

2.  One of the last things my mum bought me before she passed away, was loads of FF goodies, stamps, papers, decoupage and a CD full of gorgeous cute designs.  I have not felt able to use any of them until now, but rather than keep them all intact I'm sure she would want me to have  a play with them. :)

I used MME papers, MS punch and flowers from stash.

I followed the great sketch over on Fuzzy Wuzzy challenges, and will be entering this card in the spirit of Mothers Day in the following competitions as my mum inspired me so much.

Forever Friends - Create any card with a Forever Friends image
Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges - Fab Sketch
Totally Papercrafts - Cuddly and Cute

The Crafty Pad - Mothers Day

Thanks so much for looking, have a fab day, and good luck to everyone in these challenges,

Hi Alison. Beautiful card. Love the cute image and I really like your MS punch, the way you place the paper under it like flaps. Nice story about your mum and I'm sure she would be pleased that you are using these lovely craft items. Good luck with your challenges. Donna

Awww Alison, I love Forever Friends, have a few of them somewhere in cross stitch that I did before the children came along hehe. I have got quiet a few FF bits and pieces and even brought the Black & Gold cd and have never used any of them!! After seeing your gorgeous card think I may have to dig them out!

And I challenge you to have a go at the clean and simple challenges over at Less is More and dont you dare add more bits after photographing it, so naughty hehe :p

Have a great week (although it's now half over and on the weekend straight)xx

You reminded me of my first colouring attempts - it was Forever Friends images that started me off experimenting & Sugar Nellie followed soon after - You've reminded me of how I started to colour & seeing this I'm tempted to do some more work with these images - I have a Forever Friends Christmas set & a Valentine's set - shall have a look to see what has developed since that time. I discovered your blog not long after & found we shared the loss of our Mums - I know mine would be delighted to see what I am doing & I'm sure your Mum would want you to enjoy using what she gave you.
Much love

I do know what you mean tho hun I keep everything of my dad's in pristine condition.
I found a little note of his the other day whre he wrote down one of his mates phone numbers & daft as it is I just couldn't bring myself to throw it away.....how silly is that lol. Instead I've put it in a box to keep it safe lol.
Sorry for the ramble hun my fingers have a mind of their own lol.
