Well, I've made a start..........

.... on my christmas cards that is!! :) lol

I have been meaning to make a christmas card for weeks, and am perpetually shamed when I visit so many blogs with beautiful cards all made nice and early and organised for xmas.

So, I followed the great sketch on the Forever Friends blog, and coloured this gorgeous digi-stamp (Do-crafts with my pro-markers.  I spent hours last week sorting my colours and trying different combos to try and get the right shades for these bears - Im such a perfectionist! lol

I made the poinsettas from Marianne Dies, and edged the red paper with a ruby PM.  I found this fabby glitter in a small packet tucked inside a kit, and it looks amazing in RL!  I used HOTP papers, MS punch and sentiment from a Forever Friends kit.

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

I ♥ Promarkers - DT card

Well, here we are at Wednesday, (this week is flying by!), and so sees the start of a great new challenge over at I ♥ promarkers.  This week the theme is 'No Design Paper', so I got busy with lots of punches, dies, chalks, glitter and embossing.

We are sponsored this week by Digi Doodle Shop and I used one of their cute little images for this card called Fairy and Daisy.  There is a great half-price sale on at the moment, so well worth checking out the site.

I used cuttlebug dies and an embossing folder, and also Marianne and Spellbinder dies.  I chalked the edges of all the cardstock and die-cuts and also glittered like crazy to give it some sparkle.

I am entering this card in the following competitions:

Fussy and Fancy - Springtime
Totally Gorjuss - Bling it on - I think glitter counts as bling?
CES Challenges - Spring colours
Stamptacular Sunday - Pile it on
Paper Sundaes - Sparkle, punches & yellow
Bling it On - Digi & bling

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for looking at my card today, and good luck to everyone entering these challenges

One Stop Craft Challenge - Chocolate DT card

2nd Post of the Day

Today is a new challenge over at One Stop Craft, where the theme is 'Chocolate', and we are being generously sponsored this week by Stitchy Bear stamps.  Our DT have totally rocked this theme, and created some really gorgeous projects for inspiration. :)

Now, the sentiment........I dont have many hero's in life (apart from the divine Richard Armitage ;) and of course my dad :)! ), but if I had to name a 1-2-1 it would be Charles Dickens. Of all the people who ever lived and are living, Charlie Dickens is the ONE person I would choose to sit down and have a chat with. I cant put it more simple than that really.......

I am always interested in people's 1-2-1's, so if you feel like leaving a comment, I would love to read it. :)

I am dedicating this card to my good blogging buddy Bridget, who recently sent me a wonderful parcel of stash, which I couldnt wait to put to good use in this card.  I was so thrilled to receive post all the way from Nebraska!!!  :D Its the first time I had ever seen or used Stampin Up products and I have to say they are brilliant. Thank you Bridget :)

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Stamptacular Sunday - Magnolicious
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Layers
Stamp with Fun - Birthday
The Crazy Challenge - Friendship
Whoopsi Daisy - Free and Easy
Craft Your Passion - Spotted

My first DT card for ..............???

Oh wow!  I have been waiting to share this news for days, and its been killing me! :) lol.

..................I have been asked to join the DT for I LOVE PROMARKERS !!! :) Woop woop!  This has long been one of my favourite challenge blogs as everyone knows I love my promarkers!  I feel so lucky and honoured to be asked to join such a talented team.

So this weeks challenge is real simple - Anything Goes - which is brilliant,  and we are sponsored this week by Sentiments 4 You, - you can resize these circular sentiments to fit any nestie - which is perfect.

I spent ages looking for the right colour card for matting my image and sentiment, and I remembered that the very clever Coops once suggested that you dont need to buy coloured card - just colour your card with your promarkers - simples! lol   So I just used my blush PM and coloured the backing card, scalloped nestie and the fleur-de-lys die.  Genius, and it took seconds.

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

CLP - Great Sketch
Do You Stack Up - Scallops
Just Magnolia - Happy Birthday
2 Sisters Challenge - Bingo - Ribbon+Gems/Pearls+Flowers
Stamptacular Sunday - Magnolicious

Blue Birthday

Hope everyone is good today? :)  This will be a short post from me, as I think I slept funny and hurt my neck, its sooooo painful, and will be much better off being busy than sitting in front of my pc ;) lol

Now, I've had this image coloured up for a while (I love colouring LOTV!) and finally got round to doing something with it.  I followed the fabby sketch over on I Love Promarkers, and raided my stash for scraps of HOTP papers, card candy, ribbon and brads, and also used scraps for the flowers.  I added stickles and bling for a bit of sparkle ;)

Peaches and Green

I have been caught out twice today in pesky April Showers! lol :) So I am sitting quite soggy at my dads today and thought I would share this card I made for the Lili of the Valley Challenge.  This week the theme is Peach and Green - class!

I used K&Co papers (peach dots) and some peach Kanban card.  I made the roses from my new Marianne Creatables 'english rose' dies, and it took a wee bit of practise, but I'm quite pleased with them.  I distressed and sanded the edges of the papers (including the roses) and hand stitched the papers round the edge.
